Interview with Kyaw Zayar, the ‘baby’ developer of KVE!
Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Kyaw Zayar and I am 21 years old. I started out as an Engineering guy. During my studies days, I was exposed to computer games and technologies and that is when I fell in love with IT. Being a passionate technology guy, I decided to pursue an IT education. Since 2015, I have attained various certification on Software Engineering and Web Development. In 2017, I joined KVE Holdings as a Junior Website Developer.
What is your role at the company?
I am responsible in designing, coding and modifying corporate websites. From the initial layout to function and according to client’s specifications.
How has the company helped you in your career development?
KVE Holdings have given me many opportunities in both Career and Personal development. In career, I was exposed to new technologies such as e-Commerce, SEO, various plugins etc. These greatly helps me in gaining progression in web developing industry. In Personal development, I was exposed to different business processes which I have never come across before! My management team often interact with us in English and encourage us to write reports and minutes during meeting. There are trainings sessions given by the management on learning to communicate and write effectively, and how to think in a different perspective.
What do you like most about the company?
This is a place that demands excellence while still allowing a healthy and positive working environment. Most importantly, our personal development are well-taken care of!
What do you like least about the company?
NOTHING!! Everything is great!!
If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I would like to meet General Aung San alive because he is considered as the Father of the Nation of modern-day Myanmar and also the man who bring back Burma’s independence from British Rule. I would want to thank him for his sacrifices he have made to contribute to our nation growing.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
I hope to achieve the role of a project manager so that I could exposed to the different aspect of this business. Web Developing is a skill which I treasured and I would love to be part of the project team to oversee more complex projects and being a role model to a junior web developer in my company. I would also hope to work abroad to gain more international experience!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy playing games. I also love reading books and learn new things about my interests.
What advice do you have for your future colleagues at KVE Holdings?
KVE Holdings is like a family – It’s all about relationships, building trust with fellow colleagues and management team. Be honest on everything and committed with whatever you do! Your hardwork will pay off!
